Ready, Set Sketch: Preston Farm & Winery! ***(Please note special 11:00am-2:00PM time)***

We have a special treat for this month’s meet-up: Preston Farm & Winery!

Preston is a full biodynamic farm with fruits, veg, livestock, and of course, wine! It’s a beautiful property and will provide a cornucopia of subjects to sketch.

From their website: “Come taste our estate wines, homegrown olive oil, just-baked bread, fresh and pickled vegetables. Stroll the gardens, greet the animals, purchase provisions in our farm store, and picnic in the shade of our walnut tree. Our hospitality is genuine and our agrarian setting is a welcoming slice of Dry Creek Valley.”

Please join us! No experience is necessary. All you need is something to draw on and something to draw with. But don’t forget a hat, sunscreen, water, lunch, and a chair.

Dry Creek Valley Sketch Tour

Owl-house_sLast weekend, the Ready, Set Sketch! group toured the Dry Creek Valley by bike. It’s one of the most beautiful rides in Sonoma County. Resting on a hilltop along Chiquita road, I sketched an owl box standing high above the vineyard covered landscape.
